A single father and two women go outside their home to fight off terrifying creatures to save the life of a young boy. There’s a mid-credits scene. When the scientist first tries to create a «magic bullet» in the lab, he puts the bullet in the wrong magazine, loads it into a gun with the bullet facing the wrong way, and fires it at the target. Katie: These are Earth’s new predators. And we’re the prey. So how do we reclaim our place? The concept is cool. Like the idea that the creatures can’t go above a certain height. When I saw the trailer and saw Morena Baccarin and Anthony Mackie in the lead roles, I decided to watch it. I was hoping for a movie like A Quiet Place, but this movie lacked intensity and character development. There are only five characters in the movie, a physicist, a father and son, the deceased’s wife/mother, and a friend, and we don’t learn much about them. When we find crumbs on the creatures, the movie stops. The ending wasn’t very satisfying and could have done with more detail. In fact, the end credits scenes hint at more detail, but I’m not sure this movie deserves a sequel. However, a sequel could help answer all the unanswered questions… too many questions.
